Terms and Conditions

Please review our Policies prior to booking your dives. If you have any questions regarding anything stated, please feel free to contact us.
We’ll be happy to go over any of your questions or concerns.

Bookings, Check-ins and Pick-ups

  • All bookings must be done through our booking platform  – BOOK NOW – 
  • A booking deposit will be required by the platform or the option to pay in full on the platform will be available.
  • We will receive your booking, check availability and confirm if available with further details, typically within 6 hours.
  • If there is no availability, we will suggest another schedule or proceed to cancel the booking and refund your deposit.
  • All guests are required to check-in at our shop on the first day of their booked dives or training, 30 minutes prior to the start time.
  • Our shop is located at Marina Fonatur.  Check our location on  Google Maps
  • If staying on any oceanfront Hotel/Resort/Accommodation south of our shop and would like a pick-up for your days of diving, we kindly ask to check- in at our shop either 1 day in advance or the first day of your dive schedule.
  • The following exception applies for a check-in:
    • Guests with their own gear, that have paid their invoice in full via PayPal and filled out the digital Boat Travel and Scuba Diving Liability Release and are eligible to be picked up at their oceanfront locations south of our shop without a physical check-in at our shop. (Prior arrangement with the shop)
  • We only pick up at oceanfront locations south of our shop on the way to the reefs. There is a $5-10 USD per person per day fee for certain pickup locations.
    • Some of the most popular ones include: Presidente Hotel, Landmark Resort (Fee), Paradise Condos/Tortugas Beach (Fee), Costa del Sol Villas,
      Sunscape Sabor (Fee), Secrets Aura Resort (Fee), Allegro Hotel (Fee), Occidental Grand (Fee), Iberostar (Fee).
  • Dive Computers are required for diving with Scuba Life, rentals are available and included in the full rental kit price.
  • If renting regulators, bringing your own mouthpiece is required, or new ones are available at the shop for $5 USD.
  • Cruise ship passengers must pay in full during the booking process or a full payment request will be sent shortly after to complete the booking.

Pricing and payment

  • All prices are in US dollars
  • The balance of payment is due upon check-in at our shop.
  • Cruise ship passengers must pay in full during the booking process or a full payment request will be sent shortly after to complete the booking.
  • We accept payments in: Cash US dollars & Pesos, Credit Cards and Paypal ( 5% card processing fee)
  • A 5% transaction fee will be added to payments done with Paypal and Credit Cards
  • We will only accept payments in Paypal up to 50% of the total balance

Scuba Diving Policy

  • All certified divers must show proof of their SCUBA diving certification from a recognized certifying agency.
  • As a Divers Alert Network business member, Scuba Life Cozumel is committed to scuba diving safety and injury prevention, therefore we strongly recommend all participants to acquire a DAN membership that provides emergency medical assistance and provides benefits that help make you a safer, more informed diver and traveler.   • All divers must fill out the digital Boat Travel and Scuba Diving Liability Release before arrival.
  • While diving within the Cozumel Reefs National Marine Park, divers must adhere to park rules. Park rules will be reviewed by your Divemaster. Divers who intentionally disregard Marine Park rules and/or Scuba Life Cozumel Standards of Safe Diving Practices, can have their diving privileges revoked.

Cancellation Policy

  • Full refund applies to cancellations made at least 7 days prior to the first scheduled dive
    The booking deposit will be fully refunded through Paypal within a period of 15 days.
    If your deposit was made with a credit card through Stripe Payment Processor, the fee will be deducted from your refund. This is out of our hands as Stripe keeps the fee. We suggest using Paypal.
  • Partial refund applies to cancellations made less than 7 days prior to the first scheduled dive 
    50% of the booking deposit will be refunded through Paypal within a period of 15 days
    If your deposit was made with a credit card through Stripe Payment Processor, the fee will be deducted from your refund. This is out of our hands as Stripe keeps the fee. We suggest using Paypal.
  • No refund applies to cancellations made less than 48 hours (2 days) prior to the first scheduled dive 
  • No refund applies to same-day cancellations 
  • No refund applies to cruise ship passengers’ cancellations made less than 48 hours (2 days) due to cruise rescheduling, delays, or time zone changes. 
  • Cancellation by Scuba Life Cozumel due to weather
    A full refund will be given. Dives may be canceled only if the Harbor Master closes the port to water crafts due to bad weather.
  • All refunds will be processed through PayPal within a period of 15 days.

Important Information for Cruise Ship Divers

  • Morning Trips 8:30 AM check-in, 9 AM departure & Afternoon Trips 1:30 PM Check-in. 2 PM departure
  • PLEASE BE SURE YOUR DOCKING TIMES ARE REFLECTED IN LOCAL TIME AS SOMETIMES CRUISES RUN ON “SHIP TIME” WHICH IS AN HOUR AHEAD OR BEHIND LOCAL TIME. 
  • Gear rental is available on the “extras screen” (extra cost) during the booking process.
  • Park fees and taxes included. No hidden costs.
  • Trip returns around 2 pm *Please note we require 48 hours’ notice to cancel, diving is NON-REFUNABLE & must be paid in full at the time of booking.
  • Payment required in full

  • If you require any changes made to your reservation, we will send a payment request at the time of
    confirming your booking.
  • It is required to meet at our shop at least 40 minutes prior to departure.
  • We do not have a grace time for departures, we leave at 9 AM.
  • We do not offer any refund for cruise ship passengers within 48 hours of your check-in time regardless of ship delays or mechanical issues. Refunds are only offered if the Cozumel harbormaster closes aquatic activity. 

  • Scuba Life Does NOT Pick up at Cruise Terminals
  • We cater to cruise ship passengers effectively as we are conveniently located at  Marina Fonatur, just a couple of minutes away by TAXI from the International Cruise Terminal and Puerta Maya Terminal and about 15 minutes away from Punta Langosta Pier.Google maps:https://goo.gl/maps/bsYfNFz3XCo
